StarrLab is a business philosophy that evolved around a portfolio of leading edge laboratory products and design services.  Laboratory design has traditionally been constrained by the product lines available from fully integrated manufacturers.  Its more than a little ironic that the leading edge techniques and methods being employed in today's laboratories are being accomplished in labs designed decades ago around institutional, industrial grade metal and wood fabricated cabinets and countertops.  Much of the accessorization and customization was limited by the production machinery of the manufacturers who were contracted to produce complete laboratory design and construction solutions.  Few Architects understand the workings of a lab well enough to venture beyond conventional products.  As a result, laboratory investment and construction has always been viewed as sunk capital costs, with little future flexibility built in, and no opportunity for reconfiguration or reusability in another environment.

Enter StarrLab, a division of DK Walton Associates Ltd.
